Why I'm Running

I decided to run for mayor because I believe in Frankfort and its vast potential. Having raised my five daughters here alongside my wife, Annie, for over 21 years, I understand the values that make Frankfort special. With 25 years of experience in my family’s business, I have developed the skills necessary for effective leadership—planning, collaboration, and a commitment to listening to our residents. Our village deserves a clear vision for the future that inspires all generations and addresses the challenges we face.

My goal is to unite our community in creating a dynamic plan that not only honors our past but also embraces growth and opportunity. By reinstating citizen committees and fostering collaboration with local organizations, we can streamline processes and attract development that benefits everyone.

Together, we can build a stronger Frankfort—one that prioritizes trust, respect, and a shared commitment to making our village an even better place to live, work, and grow. Your support is vital as we embark on this exciting journey together!

Transparency: Restoring Trust with Residents

Community: Building Connections and Infrastructure

Open Communication: Prioritize open and honest communication with all residents. This includes creating more opportunities for residents to be informed about the issues that matter most to them.
Live Stream Committee Meetings: Live stream all Committee of the Whole meetings so that residents can stay informed and engaged in local government, regardless of their schedules. This ensures full transparency in the decision-making process.
Regular Updates & Feedback: Implement regular newsletters, town halls, and online forums to provide timely updates and actively listen to the community's concerns and ideas.

Community: Building Connections and Infrastructure

Re-establish Resident Committees: Work to re-establish and empower resident committees across Frankfort. These groups will serve as a direct line between residents and the city government, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard.
Expand Bike Trail System: Push for the extension of our bike trail system, connecting neighborhoods and local parks where feasible. This will promote sustainable transportation and enhance the quality of life for families, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Collaborate with Key Partners: Collaborate with the Park District, School District, and Fire Department to enhance public services, programs, and safety initiatives for our community.
New Recreation Center: Work to build a new, modern recreation center that serves residents of all ages. This will provide opportunities for exercise, social interaction, and enrichment for all in Frankfort.
Safety Enhancements: Focus on improving pedestrian safety by investing in new pedestrian bridges and updating traffic signals in key areas, ensuring the safety of our residents as they move through the town.

Build Better: Developing A Stronger Future

Attract New Development: Focus on attracting new, high-quality development that reflects Frankfort's character and values. This will boost our local economy and increase the city’s tax base, benefiting all residents.
Housing for All: Advocate for the construction of more diverse housing options, including affordable housing for young families and senior citizens. This will ensure Frankfort remains an attractive and accessible place for all stages of life.
In-fill Development: By focusing on in-fill development, I will work to utilize existing infrastructure, reduce sprawl, and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. This will ensure smart growth that complements our existing community.
